A Sustainable Christmas
December 31, 2011
Inspired by the Life and Legacy of Pearl S. Buck
In her own words, Pearl S. Buck desired that her home “...act as a gateway to new thoughts and dreams and ways of life.”
Every year at this season, Green Hills Farm, Pearl S. Buck’s home in Perkasie, PA., lights up with Christmas! With over a dozen trees, beautifully decorated by community organizations, the House is something to experience during the festive season.
For the second year in row, Impact Thrift Stores has had the opportunity to decorate a room at Green Hills Farm for the Festival. This year, we were honored with the Organ Room, a central feature of the home. Read more about the inspiration and creation of our decorations in this blog post by Tamika Miller, Impact Thrift Stores Community Outreach Coordinator A Sustainable Christmas Inspired by the Life and Legacy of Pearl S. Buck .
